STEP 1: Connect with our Special Programs Manager, Hijab Chaudhry, hchaudhry@ucmerced.edu, to discuss your K-12 outreach project
STEP 2: After the initial meeting, we will help you come up with a schedule to create your curriculum and finalize details for your project, which include:
- How long the activity/activities should be?
- Admin & Logistics
- Assessment
- Who will lead the activity for visiting K-12 students?
- If you do not have any undergraduate or graduate students in place to lead these, our Learning Lab Interns will work with you to lead out the activity.
- When will this take place?
- The CalTeach Program can help you with your K-12 outreach, throughout the following timeframes:
- Fall and Spring semester outreach scheduled through the Learning Lab
- Activities can range from one to four hour sessions
- Fall and Spring semester outreach scheduled through the Learning Lab
- Summer semester- Virtual or in-person week-long workshops through the Bobcat STEM Academy
- Workshops will be week-long, where in-person will run from 9am to 4pm, and virtual sessions will run 2-hour session
