Meet the Instructors
Amelia Wood 
My name is Amelia Wood and I will be your student's instructor for the Bobcats in Training Webinars for grades 3rd-5th. I just finished my second year at UC Merced and work in the CalTeach office as a Student Assistant. I am a Biological Sciences major with an emphasis in Human Biology. I am also minoring in Natural Science Education. My plans after college are to attend dental school. I also plan to begin substitute teaching once schools reopen.
I am from Stockton, CA, and have a twin sister who is at CSU Stanislaus. I enjoy cooking and watching movies and helping my friends and family. I've always had an interest in science and helping others, so I am excited to be working on these virtual workshops this summer!

Erika Salazar 
Hey everyone! My name is Erika Salazar and I will be your instructor for K-2! I am currently a third-year molecular and cell biology student hoping to graduate by Spring 2021. My plans are to graduate and attend nursing school down in Southern California, I am originally from the Coachella Valley and would like to be closer to home following my graduation. I hope to get my second bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2 years to eventually apply to a nurse practitioner program. I love working with kids and will strive to be the best pediatric nurse practitioner.
